Labels consist of three main layers: facestock, adhesive, and liner. The ideal combination of these guarantees a good application, otherwise the choice of an unsuitable label can lead to:
- an inadequate adhesion to the surface
- poor hold of the print on the substrate
- deterioration due to solvents or climatic conditions
Both due to legal requirements and for good company publicity, it is important that the label is resistant. Therefore, if drops of liquid or dusty material may come out of the package, or just for protection from the surrounding environment, it is advisable to use labels with a synthetic film to ensure the integrity of all its characteristics: adhesiveness, legibility, integrity.
